Redeemer's Church Council adopted the motion to host Summerfest 2008 on August , 2008. This will be the second consecutive year Redeemer Lutheran Church has sponsored this all day outdoor festival. Summerfest is a community outreach - block party that is free to the community.

Last years event saw approximately 500 people attend during the course of the day. Musical Groups from several Congregations blessed the attendees with day long live performances. Some groups traveled as far as Sweet Home to play for the enthusiastic crowd.

In addition to the music was plenty of food, fun and fellowship. Marion County Sheriff displayed their moble crime unit and newest Dare chase cruiser.

This years event has been expanded to include Health Screenings from the Lions Club Mobile Health Unit and Marion County. Local food banks and charities will also benefit and have information areas. There will be expanded activities and play area for the kids and hopefully a classic car show and exhibition / competition.

The event will start with a 10:00AM outdoor worship service. More information about Summerfest will be posted here as it becomes available.
